Majorie Wallace was originally from Bulawayo and trained in Fine Art at Michaelis in Cape Town. She then returned to Zimbabwe, and in time took over the Mutapo Pottery in Hatfield, Harare. From there she has produced ceramics to exhibition standard for many years with the assistance of fellow potters, Jimi Moyo and Jairos Zvangirai. Her blue splash technique has become her trademark and these beautifully shaped vessels ring with all the purity of fine porcelain.
